The Department of Agriculture at SGSU University was established in 2023 with a focus on imparting higher education under the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture program. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and competitive faculty, following the course curriculum defined by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The department aims to attract the best talent to agricultural education to contribute to job creation, food security, employment, and environmental security. The SGSU agriculture programme is outlined and conveyed with the target of wholesome student velopment. Agriculture Discipline offers programmes with an -to-date c curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The discipline offers world-class laboratories, a library, and faculty for one-on-one assistance. Special emphasis is given to students for hands-on training experience by assigning live projects (agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning in different agricultural units.
