QUALITY POLICY

Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), Bhopal, established under the UGC 2(F) Act as Central India’s first NEP 2020 and NSQF-aligned Skills University, is committed to advancing the highest standards of excellence in skill-integrated teaching, research, industry engagement, and public service. As a constituent of the AISECT Group, SGSU aligns its institutional vision with the national imperative of building an industry-ready, future-skilled workforce, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and academic integrity across every domain of its activity.

Diversity and Equity Policy

SGSU affirms its commitment to ensuring equitable access to educational resources, opportunities, and support services for students from diverse socio-economic, cultural, linguistic, and regional backgrounds, particularly in service of Central India’s skilling and employability needs. The University implements the following strategic measures:

  • Financial Aid and Scholarships: Provision of need-based financial support and scholarships to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring affordability and inclusivity in access to skills education.
  • Accessibility Services: Comprehensive support for students with disabilities, including
    assistive technologies, accessible infrastructure, and tailored accommodations to enable
    equitable participation in skill-based learning.
  • Mentorship and Support Networks: Development of structured mentorship programmes and peer support systems to guide students from diverse backgrounds through academic, social, and professional challenges.
  • Culturally Responsive Pedagogy: Promotion of inclusive teaching practices that recognise and value students’ diverse experiences, creating an academically supportive and culturally sensitive learning environment.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Engagement with industry, community organisations, and other educational institutions to develop academic and skilling pathways for underrepresented and first-generation learners.
  • Ongoing Evaluation and Enhancement: Regular assessment of equity-related initiatives through data-driven analysis, stakeholder feedback, and strategic review to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness.
  • Assurance of Faculty and Trainer Quality: Ensuring that faculty members and industry trainers are appropriately qualified and professionally competent, with performance subject to internal and external review mechanisms.
  • Information Management Systems: Deployment of robust information systems to collect, analyse, and utilise data for effective programme management, skill-tracking, and institutional planning.
  • External Quality Assurance: Active engagement with external quality assurance processes, including those coordinated by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), to systematically align institutional activities with strategic and regulatory objectives.
  • Follow-Up and Accountability: Implementation of clear and consistent follow-up procedures for quality assurance recommendations and action plans, ensuring measurable and timely improvements.

Objectives and Scope

SGSU seeks to promote academic excellence, employability, and societal relevance through the following objectives:

  • To deliver value-based, skill-integrated education that fosters ethical responsibility and holistic development.
  • To cultivate a conducive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving.
  • To continually upgrade academic, research, training, and placement infrastructure in alignment with emerging global and NSQF standards.
  • To foster a strong research culture and promote interdisciplinary research and development initiatives with skilling applications.
  • To strengthen industry-academia collaboration through technology exchange programmes, apprenticeships, and knowledge transfer.
  • To establish, ‘Centres of Excellence’, in emerging technology and skill domains to drive innovation and academic leadership.
  • To collaborate with leading national and international universities, institutes of national importance, and industry partners for mutual knowledge exchange and capacity building.
  • To develop entrepreneurial competencies among students, establish incubation centres, and support innovative, skill-driven ventures.
  • To promote community engagement, extension activities, and service-learning projects that address regional and societal skilling needs.
  • To enhance the quality of education through academic and administrative flexibility, supported by regular internal and external audits.
  • To confer academic degrees in compliance with the standards and regulations set by statutory authorities such as the University Grants Commission (UGC), and in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
  • To provide transparent, accurate, and up-to-date information regarding institutional policies, academic programmes, procedures, and learning outcomes.
  • To establish quality benchmarks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all academic and administrative functions to institutionalise best practices.
  • To organise intra- and inter-institutional workshops, expert lectures, and professional development programmes (such as the AISECT Group’s flagship grooming and skilling initiatives) focused on quality enhancement and institutional excellence.
  • To ensure that every academic programme is co-designed and periodically reviewed with industry advisory boards, so that curricula remain continuously responsive to labour-market demand.
