Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) celebrated a two-day National Science Day with great enthusiasm, highlighting the significance of scientific advancements and their impact on society.
On February 28, the celebration commenced with a documentary screening on the achievements of Dr. C.V. Raman, followed by discussions on the applications of his groundbreaking inventions. Dr. Vivek Mishra from Saifia Science College, Bhopal, delivered an insightful lecture, emphasizing the contributions of Indian scientists. Young students actively participated in a series of engaging competitions, including paper and poster presentations, quizzes, and science poem recitations.
On March 1, the event was graced by eminent speakers, including Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh, Director, Meteorological Department, and Dr. Rashmi Shighai, RLE, Bhopal. They delivered insightful lectures on education, technology, and the role of science in national development. Dr. Vijay Singh, Vice Chancellor of SGSU, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the need for continuous scientific training for educators.
A special highlight of the event was the unveiling of a poster designed by Dr. Satyendra Khare and the release of a book on Mathematics authored by Prof. V.K. Gupta. The competition results were announced, and the winners were felicitated for their outstanding performances.
The National Science Day program is supported by the National Council of Science and Technology Communication, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal. SGSU remains committed to fostering scientific curiosity and innovation among students, ensuring they stay at the forefront of modern scientific advancements.
