About the Visit
The School of Management Studies, Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), Bhopal, organized an Industrial Visit to L.M. Bakers (CMU of Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd), Mandideep on 06 March 2026 for the students of MBA and BBA programs.
The visit was coordinated by Ms. Priyal Nagar and Dr. Manjusha Bhondekar with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to the operations of one of India’s leading biscuit manufacturing units associated with the Parle brand.
During the visit, students were introduced to the complete biscuit production process, including:
🔹 Raw material procurement (flour, sugar, edible oil, etc.)
🔹 Dough preparation and mixing
🔹 Molding and baking process
🔹 Cooling and quality inspection
🔹 Automated packaging and labelling
🔹 Storage and distribution logistics
Students also interacted with plant officials and gained valuable insights into production planning, quality control standards, supply chain management, packaging technology, and marketing operations in the FMCG sector.
The visit helped students understand how advanced machinery, standardized production processes, and efficient supply chain management contribute to maintaining the quality and popularity of Parle-G biscuits, one of the most recognized biscuit brands in India.
