The Faculty of Emerging Technology at Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), Central India’s first and only skill-focused university, launched a Polytechnic Diploma and inaugurated a skill-centered laboratory. This diploma program, initiated in collaboration with Hyundai Motors India, is entirely skills-oriented, aiming to equip students with technical proficiency. It is noteworthy that all courses at Scope Global Skills University emphasize skill development alongside academic knowledge. This newly established laboratory marks the university’s eighth center of excellence. Present at the event were Dr. Ajay Bhushan, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Registrar; and Dr. Anurag Kulshrestha, Dean of the Faculty of Emerging Technology. Distinguished guests included Mr. Baljinder Singh Dang, Regional Parts and Service Head for Hyundai Group’s Western Region; Mr. Sagar, Dealer Principal of Surjit Hyundai; and Mr. Akash, Dealer Principal of CI Hyundai. The event was hosted by Ms. Vishakha Rajurkar.
The program began with a welcome speech by Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Registrar of SGSU, who expressed his delight and welcomed all guests, stating that this collaboration marks a golden opportunity for the university as it embarks on a new chapter with Hyundai. Mr. Baljinder Singh Dang, Regional Parts and Service Head for Hyundai Motors India, shared his insights during his speech, reflecting on his student days and noting the significant difference between studying technical subjects and applying technical skills in the industry. He emphasized that this diploma program would be highly beneficial for students and help address the shortage of skilled workers in the market. Dr. Ajay Bhushan, Vice-Chancellor of the university, expressed his joy, stating that this partnership would undoubtedly be successful for both the university and Hyundai. Moreover, this collaboration will play a vital role in empowering India’s youth with skills and securing suitable employment opportunities for them.
