Sowing of the Moong Crop-20-03-2026

I am pleased to share that the School of Agriculture and Allied Technologies (SOAG) successfully conducted the sowing of the Moong (Green Gram) crop on our campus today, March 20, 2026.

It was heartening to see our faculty members actively engaged on the field, providing hands-on demonstrations to our students. Beyond the technical aspects of sowing, our educators took the opportunity to highlight two critical benefits of this versatile crop:

  1. Nutritional Excellence: Educating students on the high protein content and essential micronutrients that make Moong a powerhouse for human health.
  2. Soil Sustainability: Emphasizing Moong’s role as a nitrogen-fixing legume, which naturally enhances soil fertility and promotes sustainable farming practices.
