In this time of escalating Climate Change, the transition to Renewable energy is not just a choice but it’s also a necessity to deal with this humungous crisis. India, is at the forefront of renewable energy initiatives as its one the largest and fastest-growing economies in the world. The Government of India has set an ambitious target to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with wind and solar energy expected to play pivotal roles in this expansion. This has already created a surge in demand for green job professionals with the appropriate knowledge and expertise to cater to this domain.

According to a report by the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), the renewable energy sector in India generated over three lakh jobs in recent years mostly in the solar and wind energy industries. Furthermore, as of March 2022, India had already installed over 150 GW of renewable energy capacity, making it the world’s third largest country installing renewable energy capacity after China and the United States.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) told us that the solar energy sector itself employed more than 50,000 people in 2021, with the potential for exponential growth as the country pushes towards its renewable energy targets by 2030.<br><br>
